Just up the hill from the Cape Porpoise Pier is the Stonesthrow Gallery - my working studio – from which I can see many of the waterways and islands that make up Cape Porpoise Harbor. These and the marshes, beaches, rivers and marine activities which naturally gravitate to coastal Maine are my inspiration.

I am primarily a landscape artist working in watercolor, oil and acrylics. Local scenes such as the flag draped shed in “ True Colors” and “Durrells Bridge” where the river winds to the sea intrigue me. But Vaughn’s Island, viewed from Turbats Creek or Cape Porpoise, is my favorite subject. It is an island paintable in all seasons. Summer fun and memories of our kids racing small boats along the coast provided the inspiration for “A Beautiful Day for a Sail”.

Commissions are accepted for varied subjects as well as murals. I have accepted commissions to paint” portraits” of houses in Kennebunkport, Biddeford and Arundel and have painted murals both for the Wayfarer Restaurant and for the Church on the Cape in Cape Porpoise, and in private homes in Kennebunkport, Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Member of Art Guild of the Kennebunks and Maine Women in Art participant of juried shows at Heartwood College of Art and the River Tree Center for the Arts.
